Shopping Carts
November 12, 2008
I know shopping carts are dirty and gross, but when “Dr. Germ” on the Today Show said the following, I really got the oogies…
“You can come across more fecal matter on shopping carts than in public restrooms.”
That is just gross. Come on people, wash your hands, wash your kids hands and don’t put a kid with a leaky diaper in the shopping cart.
Granted I do have a hand-dandy cloth cover thing that I put on before putting the Little One in there, but still it’s just gross to think about.
How many times have you put your bananas, apples, tomatoes or pears in the little basket? I sure hope you are washing all that stuff before you eat it. EWWWWW!

Mythbusters checked out how far bacteria from the toilet can fly when you flush. i think it was 8 feet. How close is your toothbrush to your toilet? (I have to keep ours in the medicine cabinets now. And i have “the oogies” about people leaving the lid up when they flush! ick!)
Ick!
And ew, about the toothbrushes. I think I’m gonna move mine. LOL
Okay, Karen that is gross!
Thankfully our toilet is way far away from the sink. It’s got it’s own little door. {Not that I ever get to pee with the door closed}. My toothbrush is definitely more than 8 feet away.
ick!! It’s amazing I can leave the house at all with so many gross things part of daily life. I went to the Mall of America yesterday and had to purell my entire body to feel semi-clean.
